This has, most likely, been your toughest working week of 2012 so far.

Unless you’re a friggatriskaidekaphobic then today’s a good day, marking the start of two days free of deadlines, meetings and decisions.

There remains only one critical decision you’ve yet to make: Pirate or Indian?

To become a pirate (though this option might more accurately – but less catchily - be described as becoming a “tattooed, popeye-esque, rum-swilling British naval officer”) head to the brand new London Cocktail Club on Shaftesbury Avenue for grogs, punches and a lot of overproof rum.

To take the Native American route, follow the smoke signals to a new heated rooftop tipi known – oddly, given that it’s a tipi - as the WigWamBam.

Perched high above Shoreditch for the next three months, it’s a warm and candlelit rooftop retreat serving up mulled cider, hot rum with apple juice and flame-cooked fare from a large open grill.

Expect live music, grilled buffalo steak, campfire readings, and the only thing that Native Americans enjoy more than buffalo steak: mulled wine.
