The Met Bar | Mayfair Bars

You may have seen pictures of the Met Bar front door before, peeking out from behind celebrities such as Prince William, Liam Gallagher and Narinder from Big Brother 2 (definitely the most memorable housemate of the series after Brian Dowling, Helen Adams, Paul Clarke, Dean O’Loughlin and “Bubble”). 

You need peek at photographs of the front door no longer, as the Met Bar’s recent refurbishment involved throwing out the members-only policy alongside the old furniture*.

The new-look space includes a leather-fronted, lava-stone bar; golden-highlighted, black glass tables and brand new cocktail and dining menus (the latter focusing on seasonal, classic  British cuisine like lemon-poached monkfish,  kedgeree cakes  and Dedham Dale beef and stilton pie).

The all new Met Bar – open from 9am-2am  (Tuesday to Saturday) and 9am to Midnight on Sundays and Mondays.

* actually all of the old furniture was sold on Ebay to raise money for charity.
