The Vault Festival At The Old Vic Tunnels

Beginning next week in the Old Vic Tunnels: Vault, a unique and quirky feast of arts and entertainment.

There’s a lot on so - to help you efficiently navigate the options - our favourite four:

La Bohème: no ordinary opera. You’ll explore an immersive set, wandering from scene to scene, as the live voices of a cast of opera singers play through your headphones atop a background recording of a full symphony orchestra and chorus.

The B-Movie Ball: a fancy dress ball fusing B-movie screenings with live music, DJs, dancers and tarot readings. For costume inspiration think creatures from the deep, 50s screen sirens, rockabilly robots and space-dwelling teen-wolves.

Punt: four of the meanest pun-slingers in the west take to the stage at pun-down for a rip-roaring rodeo of bad gags and arse-clenching innuendo. Or, “in-your-end-oh”. Pungent...

Broken Loops: a unique, digitally-interactive, theatrical experience based within an old working men’s club in the ‘90s. Enveloped by a world of darts and bingo you’ll use your access to the main characters’ memories to influence the order and progression of the narrative.

Also each Thursday and Sunday: complimentary entry to Baxter Valentine’s Basement.

“Coming at you like a sparrow in the night” the Basement will feature – amongst others – yoyo wizard Arron Sparks and the “hottest little dancing freaks in town”, The Breakfast Club.

Vault at The Old Vic Tunnels : 9th – 26th February (Thursdays to Sundays only).

Tickets on sale now.
