Hix Belgravia - It's Mark Hix, but in Belgravia.

Mark Hix has been getting around.

Not like that.

The ex-Executive Head Chef at Le Caprice, The Ivy and J Sheekey – renowned for his mastery of Great British cuisine (cemented by a heat victory in the BBC’s 2007 “Great British Menu” and the penning of several highly-regarded British cookbooks) - has just opened Hix Belgravia, his sixth restaurant in five years.

Only this one serves Vietnamese chicken broth; prawn and pumpkin curry with basmati rice and coconut; and Belgian waffles…..

The eclectic menu at Hix Belgravia - inspired by Hix’s worldly travels - happily fails to forget Great Britain entirely, featuring halibut from the Shetlands, shorthorn beef from Moyallon, king scallop from the Orkney Islands,  and porterhouse steak from Aberdeenshire. 

Happily also worth noting is that Hix’s on-off plan to open one of London’s largest restaurants – in Shoreditch’s Grade II listed Tramshed building - is very much back on, with a launch now planned for summer 2012.
