Bonnie-On-Sky | Pop Ups July 2012

You can relax: here’s our list of July’s best pop-ups in London.

Breathe in….

… and exhale.

Its mildly premature promulgation has been perfectly timed to land inside your brain only hours before StockMKT’s second night at Bermondsey Square begins, where street food from the Far East, dirty burgers from Mother Flipper and old-fashioned milkshakes from Retro Shakes’ll be served up alongside music; stalls and more.

Also heading your way in July:

– The Boston Beer Party, a US-Style 4th of July celebration in a Wandsworth garden.

– The Young Turks Pt.II: Upstairs at the Ten Bells.

– A “gleaming and dazzling” 1920’s Great Gatsby-inspired party: buzzing with gin fizz and jazz, plus

– Midnight Apothecary: a secret cocktail bar, hidden on the roof garden of a museum in Rotherhithe…

But July’s Crème de Month is undoubtedly Bonnie-On-Sky, a rooftop / seaside collaboration between award winners Platterform and Bonnie Gull that recreates the Great British seaside experience…. on a rooftop by London Bridge.

It offers you mussels and whole Devon crab; beer-battered whiting with chunky chips and Eton Mess for dessert; plus creative cocktails and a “sensory feast of design and entertainment” that includes a deckchair lounge for seaside snacks and amusement pier telescopes for spying on your fellow Londoners…
