Forza Win | Summer Project
Summer only truly begins after your first spit roast.
If you’re yet to enjoy one, then you may wish to attend Forza Win’s Summer Project: a three-month long celebration of fire, meat and cocktails (paying homage to the grand tradition of Southern Italian communal banquets) which launches today.
However the only way to really decide whether or not you’d like to attend is by perusing our comprehensive list of pros and cons:
1) It’s being hosted by the same troop of nomadic rascals who have previously hosted pizza supper clubs on London rooftops; winter warming banquets in abandoned pickle factories; and ‘proper f*cking Italian mega feasts with some of the finest quality ingredients money can buy’.
2) They’re now based in an abandoned cash and carry in Peckham, which is just around the corner from London’s only bar-on-the-roof-of-a-car park Frank’s Cafe. Nice spot for a pre-dinner tipple. Or to park.
3) Show up and you’ll enjoy a five-course feast of white wine-soaked peaches; whole octopus, grilled over ash and oak; tomatoey tagliatelle pomodoro; spit-roasted leg of lamb, studded with rosemary and garlic; and flame-grilled peaches sprinkled with ricotta.
4) Dinner’s served alongside good music, natural wines and strong cocktails atop two giant communal tables suspended from the roof on retractable winches. Tables which will be raised after dinner, should you decide to dance.
5) Tickets cost just £35.
NOTE: The Summer Project is running from 19th June – 26th September. Tickets – which can be purchased HERE – cost just £35 and include all five communal courses. For more information please either email email@example.com or call 020 7732 9012.
