Forza Winter | It’s Back

When we asked Forza Winter founder Bash Redford why he decided to call his eight-week run of festive soirées in a disused pickle factory (tickets for which have just gone on sale) a ‘Wood-fired Winter Wonderland‘ he said, 

“It’s not like that crap you go to in Hyde Park with polyester reindeer and candy floss – this is a proper fucking Italian mega feast with some of the finest quality ingredients money can buy”.

As semi-professional psychologists we considered this to be a slightly defensive reply, and so immediately embarked on a perilous voyage to uncover the truth (in the hope of finding some polyester reindeer along the way). As it transpired, however, he was being completely honest: there really is no candy floss – it’s eight straight weeks of Italian feasting in a disused pickle factory… 

… with cocktails and live music.

Having turned the grills they were using over the summer into spit roasting grills, the Forza team’ll be serving up oversized sharing platters of Ginger Pig porchetta (cooked over Kentish oak, and carved at the table) with polenta roast potatoes, alongside their own take on two classic Italian winter dishes: minestrone soup with basil pesto to start, and poached winter fruits with ricotta for dessert. 

There’ll also be a hot cocktail bar, spiced beers, nightly performances by the bluesy/folksy five piece Josh Flowers & The Wild and wine on tap.
