So, not all of London’s hottest Street Food vendors are relocating to Chelsea.
But you probably already guessed that.
The good news – which you may not have guessed – is that those hanging back in the East End are set to play big parts in both tonight’s StockMKT event, and next Friday’s launch of Street Feast…
The StockMKT – on tonight at Bermondsey Square – includes curbside fare from Egg Boss; Big Apple Hotdogs; Mauritian Street Food; and Pom Pom Takoyaki.
There’ll be post-dinner sugar-highs provided by Bea’s of Bloomsbury and the Sweet Tooth Factory, as well as live music, DJs and a range of stalls featuring a mix of food products, crafts, vintage clothes and art.
And then next Friday, kicking off the long weekend: the launch of Street Feast’s 12-week run in a former Victorian bird market on Brick Lane.
A bustling, open-air, evening food market, Street Feast will see some of London’s best street food vendors – from The Ribman to Hardcore Prawn and Mama’s Jerk Station – serving up their specialty grub each Friday evening until the end of July.
Street Feast also includes an outdoor cocktail bar, live art displays and – in the very unlikely event of you preferring to use proper cutlery and plates – access to the “Car Wash” dining room.
So to summarize: excellent food; big fun; low prices and no bookings.
