Ballie Ballerson | Ballpit Bar

It takes a lot of balls to create an experience like Ballie Ballerson.

1 000 000, to be exact.

Because after opening the city’s largest ballpit bar as a pop up back in 2016, the people at Ballie Ballerson have not only upped the ante from 200k balls to a million, but they’ve made them all transparent (and new, just to be – ahem – clear), and then backlit the pit with a 10k LED dancefloor underneath. Yeah.

And that’s just the downstairs – upstairs they have a cocktail bar with UV-drenched walls that are “charged” with light blasts whilst DJs spin funk & ragged house, as well as two other privately hireable ball pits (one overlooks a Banksy, the other is full of golden balls).

And as you’d only expect from such a nostalgia-soaked venture, the drinks list enables you to relive your youth (with all the benefits of adulthood) with Dib-Dab flavoured cocktails and Maoam shots, as well as The Fight Club (which comes with blood orange, gin and a temporary tattoo) and the WTAF, which changes flavour after you pop a Miracle Berry.

To keep you going throughout the night, there’s also a quartet of pizzas and Cheeseburger Spring Rolls (obviously) on offer – and if you head down on a weekend, you can buy a special bottomless brunch ticket that means your two hour ballpit slot will include bottomless prosecco and bottomless pizza, too.

And hopefully, no bottomless patrons.

NOTE: Ballie Ballerson is open every evening (till 2am Thurs-Sat), and all day on weekends. You can get tickets for a two hour timeslot (from £7.50pp) at their website right HERE.

OTHER NOTE: Just to assuage the fears/hopes that may already be germinating in your head: yes, they have a ball cleaning machine which works at a feverish pace (cleansing 18k balls per hour) and no, despite the presence of that machine, you can’t take your drinks into the ballpit.
