Eve | Covent Garden Bar
Last Updated: 6th June 2019
What is a palindrome?
No, it isn’t.
But Eve is.
It comes to us from Adam (no coincidence) Handling, the young wünderchef behind The Frog; in fact, you’ll find Eve slung neatly below his Covent Garden flagship.
The space takes a markedly different tone to the restaurant upstairs, with dark walls, religious iconography, neon, and moodily low lighting. Behind the wood, stone, and brass bar, the team – led by Sam Orrock, previously at the award-winning Scout – put together an array of theatrically creative cocktails. Speaking of which…
Following the installation of a brand new ‘drinks lab’ behind the bar, you’ll find all sorts of bizarre and unusual ingredients making their way into the cocktails, from cherry bark and recycled apple oil to disarmed chilli distillate. Those come together to make numbers like Debbie Does Dallas, with vodka, distilled thyme, passion fruit butter syrup, vanilla and lime, and the Peat’D Colada – a clarified Pina Colada made with rum, coconut, pineapple, elderflower and Islay whisky.
And of course, if you’re looking for a little ballast to go with that booze, you can always pop upstairs to the acclaimed restaurant. It’s so convenient…
…you won’t Adam and Eve it.
NOTE: Eve is open daily from noon till late. You can find out more, and make a booking by heading to the website right HERE.
