Old St. Records

Old Street Records | Live Music Bar in Shoreditch

Old Street Records: officially one of the best places for a night out… since records began.

It’s part of the growing family of Records bars that also include the equally rambunctious Venn St. Records in Clapham, and Northcote Records in Battersea. And like its siblings, Old Street Records is a rosy-lit, multi-levelled warehouse-style space covered in vintage artist posters, with shelves overflowing with a whole range of classic records and live bands playing almost every night of the week. And unlike a lot of London’s live music bars, the intention here is very much for you to get up and dance.

Old Street Records does, however, differ from its predecessors in two key ways:

1) It’s in Old Street. And

2) Their generous happy hour spans from 5-8pm every day, meaning that you can score 2-4-1 cocktails from a menu including Peach Negronis, a Smoked Pineapple Punch and Pistachio Whiskey Sours.

There are freshly baked sourdough pizzas on the menu, too – but really, you probably want to start your night at Padella Shoreditch or Pizza Pilgrims round the corner, then come and enjoy a couple of cocktails at the bar before hitting the dancefloor. Old Street Records offers up an eclectic programme of soul, funk, indie, hip hop and electronica, rock and classic pop music, all of which are a combination of both emerging and established record labels showcasing their up and coming talent, as well as big bands and renowned DJs.

So they won’t just be playing a broken record.

NOTE: Old Street Records is open Mon-Sat (until 2am Thurs-Sat). To see who’s playing, or to book a table, please visit their website HERE.
