The Fox E8 | Haggerston Craft Beer House
The Fox, E8.
But, quite frankly whatever ‘e ate wasn’t as important as what ‘e drank.
That is, one of the 75 craft beers, real ales and ciders that have been crammed into this traditional Haggerston pub. Which, by the way, also has a roof terrace and a craft beer vending machine to boot.
Yes, this is one crafty fox.
Inside, leather Chesterfields and wingback armchairs sit amongst round wooden tables and bar stools in the main lounge area, whilst up on the covered roof terrace bench seating adds to the informal (and, well, pub-like) atmosphere.
This means that this Kingsland Road venue maintains a local, neighbourhood pub charm, whilst offering a variety of craft brews from as afield as Hawaii and Australia – as well as a rotation of British beers and ales from the pump. The menu has everything from pale/blond beers to black/dark beers, with flavours that range from fruity to spicy to chocolatey.
The food menu has a range of a dozen sharing platters (from spiced falafel bites to sticky pork ribs), as well as a straightforward line up of burgers, pies, and fish & chips, with a roast available every Sunday.
At least we know what ‘e ate now.
NOTE: The Fox E8 is open seven days a week (until midnight Monday to Saturday, closes at 11.30pm on Sunday). Food reservations are available HERE, though walk-ins are also welcomed.
