Upper 5th Shoreditch

Summer ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings.

And today she’s keeping totally silent, for three reasons:

1). It’s really hot outside.

2). She has a sore throat. And,

3). There’s a rooftop bar you need to visit in Shoreditch.

Going by the stage name “Upper 5th Shoreditch”, this rooftop bar’s one of those places where you can sip on expertly-mixed signature cocktails (including originals like the Red King, with local Hoxton gin, Campari, port and raspberry) and listen to DJ sets while nibbling on bar snacks and soaking up not only the sun’s rays but also an unlimited quantity of photo opps in front of a beautiful panoramic view across London.

Upper 5th Shoreditch Sky Terrace

Accessible via a glazed bridge linking it to a new wing of the Courthouse Hotel, Upper 5th Shoreditch offers excellent views of Canary Wharf, The Shard, the BT Tower, and everyone on the ground who isn’t drinking cocktails on a rooftop.

But the greatest twist in this happy tale is that Upper 5th is plumped on top of what used to be Shoreditch’s original magistrates’ building.

So head along and you’ll literally be above the law.

NOTE: Upper 5th Shoreditch is currently only open Friday-Sunday. Bookings can be made here.
