Brother Marcus Supperclubs | Balham Dining
Last Updated: 12th June 2019
Granny Smith, Mother Goose, Father Ted, Grandpa Joe and Sister Sledge have literally nothing in common with Brother Marcus, Balham’s extremely popular brunch café & cocktail bar.
But don’t, whatever you do, allow that knowledge to stop you from attending one of the very special, one-off supper clubs that are regularly hosted there in the evenings.
There are currently three residencies in the diary – Gooce, The Corner Plot & Chez Oliver – each of which are predominantly being hosted inside Brother Marcus at a long wooden banqueting table covered with fresh flowers and candles…but also outside amongst the dangling ferns, fairy lights, and blankets.
They’ll be stuffing your tums, respectively, with mouthwatering Modern European dishes like confit artichoke hearts and almond butterscotch tart (served up at a dinner party where everyone just happens to be single); fresh Mediterranean dishes heaped on the table to share; and fine-dining inspired feasts cooked up by a young Cordon Bleu-trained chef.
And with plenty of wine or cocktails to pick from, while you might not know your table neighbours to begin with…
…you’ll all be feeling pretty brotherly by the end of the night.
NOTE: Brother Marcus is playing host to Gooce on 20th June, The Corner Plot on 29th June, and Chez Oliver on 4th & 5th July. Tickets cost from £32 a head, and can be booked on their website HERE.
