In weather like this, however, it’s best to do away with them entirely – particularly when it comes to watching classic flicks on the big screen. So we’ve compiled a list of every single outdoor movie screening taking place in the capital this summer.
That’s right. Every single one.
And we’ve ordered them chronologically, which took ages.
Our list of over three hundred screenings commences with The Wolf Of Wall Street at the Openaire Float-In Cinema in Paddington (where alongside the film itself you can enjoy cocktails, fresh pasta, ice cream and self-driving boats); American Psycho on Bar Elba’s rooftop (where you can combine your film with a holy trinity of popcorn, sweets and bottomless booze); and True Romance at Rooftop Film Club atop The Bussey Building (where the extras include pizza, a rooftop bar, blankets and wireless headphones). And it ends about four months from now (having taken in sights such as Jojo Rabbit at St Katherine Docks’ Floating Film Festival; and a sing-a-long of The Greatest Showman at Finsbury Park’s Film & Food Fest) with Luna Cinema’s screening of Top Gun at a cemetery in Chelsea…
