Seriously. We’re not just saying that to butter you up in order to tell you about Auction Against Hunger, a fun, charitable and mouth-watering event taking place on 26th May which we think you may love…
Because as you might imagine, that sells itself.
After all, in their mission to end child hunger they’re going to absolutely annihilate yours with an evening at Street Feast’s Hawker House… featuring chefs including – deep breath – Nuno Mendes, Jose Pizarro, Neil Rankin, James Lowe, Robin Gill, Jack Stein, Lee Tiernan, and half a dozen more.
Which brings us neatly to:
The Menu
Your ticket will net you access to an open bar all night – courtesy of Kamm & Sons, Sipsmith Gin and the Wondering Wine Company – plus your choice of six dishes from a stellar 16-strong lineup that includes: Barrafina’s Cuttlefish Croquetas with fennel aioli; Barbecued Denver Steak with fennel kimchi and burnt cream from The Dairy; Lamb Heart Kebabs from Lyle’s; and Nuno Mendes’ all-new-for-this-event Pork Tacos with pecan mole and bay leaf yogurt.
And Shake Shack will be providing burgers & fries all evening.
And between courses, you’ll be able to take part in:
The Auction
In addition to the silent auction taking place throughout the evening, there’ll also be a not-so-silent gavel-banger featuring some amazing lots: you can get supper cooked at your house by The River Café; a Sake Dinner at Shackfuyu for 14 people hosted by Ross Shonhan; an 8-course tasting menu for ten people at HKK hosted by Chef Tong in their private dining room; and, ahem…
… a lot more.
NOTE: Auction Against Hunger is happening on Thursday 26th May 2016. Tickets (which include all food, plus an open bar all night) are free… in exchange for making a £60 donation towards saving the lives of malnourished children HERE. In exchange for your ticket you’ll get entry to the event, six dishes from the menu before 8pm (and free-for-all after), complimentary pint-sized cocktails from the Hawker House bars and even more complimentary drinks all night long courtesy of Wondering Wine Co, Kamm & Sons and Sipsmith Gin.
