A Pop Up Cinema At The Shard

Spoiler alert: The tip of the Shard is about to become the world’s highest cinema.

They had considered screening films at other monuments, but there was no point.

Of course, it’s not going to be your run-of-the-mill, multi-screen, nacho-chomping chain affair. Instead, it comes courtesy of bewitching pop-up the Extraordinary Travelling Film Show, who, having shown movies in fields, zoos and stately homes, are seriously up-and-coming.

…To 308.5 meters above sea level, to be exact. Because they’re setting up their next screen on the outdoor terrace of the Shard, set to a backdrop 40 miles of London stretching away from you in all directions.

They’ve got a series of cult classics lined up, including a Halloween edition of Psycho, and a starlit screening of Casablanca. And besides the staggering, 360 degree views of London at night, the gourmet popcorn on your seats and starlit backdrop to some of the world’s best films, you’ll also find a welcome cocktail awaiting you.

So all that’s left is to sit back and enjoy the show.

That’s the main point, after all.

NOTE: You can find out more about their upcoming screenings right HERE.
