Cocktails In The City 2015 | Summer Edition
What’s white and can’t climb trees?
A fridge.
This ‘joke’ serves a purpose. And that purpose is to encourage you to reflect – for once in your life – not on what fridges can’t do, but instead on what they can do.
Like, for example, store and maintain all of the ingredients required to host Cocktails In The City, an outdoor cocktail festival which will, next month, see twenty-five of London’s most excellent bars basking in the sunshine of London’s largest private Georgian garden for a weekend of tastings, feasting, live music and games.
Very possibly the most convenient bar crawl in London ever, Cocktails In The City is following up its sell out success in 2014 by returning with live bands and DJs; a BBQ shack run by pulled pork aficionados, The Joint; a booze-infused gelato bar with alcohol-flavoured sorbets and ice-creams; complimentary cocktail mixing masterclasses and talks (with topics including Health Conscious Cocktails and, pertinently, Drinks For The Morning After The Night Before); and, of course, innovative cocktails served up by an excellent selection of bars inside a summery Fitzrovian garden.
All of the participating bars – which include institutions like The Ritz’s Rivoli Bar, Portside Parlour, The Cocktail Trading Co and Hawksmoor’s Spitalfields Bar – are currently busy crafting their very own signature festival cocktails. Meaning:
1) That Drinks For The Morning After The Night Before talk is going to come in handy…. and,
2) You should stop underestimating fridges.
NOTE: The summer edition of Cocktails In The City 2015 is landing on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July (12pm to 8pm) 2015. Tickets – which cost £15 and include one cocktail, access to multiple talks and masterclasses, plus a cocktail booklet – are now on sale HERE.
