The House Of Peroni 2015 | Partner Content
If The House of Peroni were a fictional character from an early ‘90s, cult American television series, then it’d be Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap.
Bear with us.
You see it’s good looking. And smart. And it always looks different, despite having the same soul, deep down. And it’s friends with a cigar-smoking hologram. And it regularly pops up in a variety of unexpected locations…
….like Brick Lane, which is where it’ll be hosting La Piazza, – a metropolitan garden teeming with food, drink, art installations and music – from 14th May until 10th June 2015.
Pop along any time, for free, and you’ll find mixology classes, a delicious menu of granita, Italian film screenings and street-style banquets (all of which you can book tickets for HERE); the Luminarie De Cagna bar, featuring thousands of multi-coloured bulbs; an Italian market shop selling authentic Sicilian ingredients; an enclave of Italian herbs and flowers called Bar dei Fiore, a unique, floor-to-ceiling sculptural installation by British contemporary artist Rebecca Louise Law; plus open lounging areas (one of which brings the outdoors inside) with café-style seating, where you can drink “Peroni Negronis” and other cocktails created by The Artesian’s molecular mixologist, Simone Caporale.
And it’s no biggie…but Michelin-starred chef Accursio Craparo’s leaving his eponymously-named restaurant in Sicily in order to serve up a six-course “day in a piazza” dining experience atop tables containing Perspex sheets through which diners can peek into the kitchen directly below and watch the chefs at work.
You’ll need to make a reservation for that one.
