Sunday Papers Live III
We were recently informed by a seasoned philosopher, while sitting in the back of his taxi en route to Kings Cross, that
“Wise people know that they know nothing”.
He had a point.
But even our scholarly automobilist was forced to concede that wise people must know that they know something – even if it’s just that they know nothing – or else they’d, at worst, be incapable of functioning in society independently or, at best, never have anything to say at dinner parties.
Ipso fatso, knowing stuff is good.
And the quickest, easiest and most enjoyable way to expand your knowledge – preventing yourself, in the process, from ever becoming a boring dinner party guest – is by sinking into a comfy couch at The Sunday Papers Live on 31st March.
Filling Cecil Sharp House with worn settees, warming Bloody Marys, cozy rugs & slippers for the third time, it’s the ultimate lazy Sunday: a day of guided tours around Primrose Hill and Regents Park; a huge Sunday Roast presented as a long-table banquet; folk music and pub quizzes in the real ale bar; all-day breakfasts courtesy of The Breakfast Club; and an afternoon of watching each section of the broadsheets being brought to life by poets, entrepreneurs, musicians, politicians, actors and writers.
Highlights this time around include Lulu Guiness on Style; Dragon’s Den star Doug Richard on Business; beat-boxers Reeps One & Shlomo on Culture; author / journalist Paul Mason on World News; Bompass & Parr on Food; and you…
….on a comfy couch.
Note: Sunday Papers Live is running from 12pm – 11pm on Sunday 30th March at Cecil Sharp House. For full information and tickets check out their website here.
