The Midwinter Ball

The Midwinter Ball | Party at A Royal Palace

Next week, the Queen’s having a house party.

Obviously you’re invited.

In many ways it’s going to be fairly similar to all of the other Christmas parties / Midwinter Balls that you’re planning to attend over the next two weeks. There’ll be the same escape artists, fire hula-hooping, magic and mind-reading, death-defying stunts, live music and dancing as you’ll likely find inside most other Royal Palaces throughout December.

But this one’s slightly different.

For starters, you have to pay £20 to attend.  But given that your host is probably putting more effort into this shindig than any of your other friends are for their homely festive soirées, and given the size of the heating bill at Kensington Palace, it’s a small price to pay.

Also, while your other friends will do their best to ensure that you don’t end up drunkenly snooping around their home, The Queen’s decided to positively encourage you to do just that. So several of Her Majesty’s henchmen will be leading eerie tours of the Palace by night, during which you’ll edge around Wills and Kate’s room – presumably fairly quietly, given the latter’s need to rest now that she’s home – while simultaneously uncovering years of mysterious sights, surprising stories and untold secrets…

… mostly involving Prince Harry.

NOTE: Dress To Impress. Doors open at 19:30 on 13.12.12. Tickets for The Midwinter Ball cost just £20 each, and are available HERE.
