The Candlelit Concerts | A Secret Gig Series In Peckham’s Asylum Chapel
This event is full of secrets.
See, Secret Adventures – best known for alternative London activities such as kayaking down Regent’s Canal to Hackney’s CRATE Brewery – have just announced a series of secret gigs…
…in Peckham’s Grade II-listed Asylum Chapel.
Once a month, they’re inviting you to pack yourself a load of cushions and blankets and set up camp within the Asylum’s crumbling, pastel-coloured walls. Here, bathed in candlelight, a small selection of artists will perform for you, entirely unplugged.
The exact line-up will be kept secret until the day of the event, although every artist will be hand-picked, not only based on their talent, but also keeping the in mind the intimate, stripped-back setting.
As well as music, they’ll also have a pop-up bar (with mulled wine), and somewhere serving hot food, meaning you can turn up – perhaps with a partner or a couple of close friends – and spend the evening there.
Sound good? Good. Although best to keep this one a little hush hush, something tells us it’s not going to take long to sell out.
NOTE: The Candlelit Concerts at The Asylum have sold out for the rest of 2019. They have just released tickets, however, for early 2020 – 11th January, 7th February, 13th & 20th March. Doors open at 6.30pm with the music starting at 7. There will be two intervals throughout the evening. For more information, or to book, visit their website here.
ALSO NOTE: The Asylum can get cold, so please wrap up warm. Cushions and blankets are also encouraged.
