In Mandarin, bang means “good”.
Which means that Bang Bang Oriental is literally so good they named it twice.
It boasts the proud tagline of London’s largest Asian Food Hall, housing 33 individual pan-Asian food traders who serve up everything from sushi to laksas, Thai curries to steamed buns.
It’s built on the former site of the Oriental City complex in North London, and, like its predecessor, not only hosts the food hall, but also a flagship Chinese supermarket, retail spots and areas for cultural and community events. Downstairs on the ground floor, meanwhile, you’ll find a landscaped garden and a main restaurant serving dim sum lunches, and traditional Chinese dishes come the evening.
Sounds pretty bang.
