Bottarga

Since opening in 2022, zēphyr has rapidly become one of Notting Hill‘s most popular restaurants.

And now the winds of change are blowing right into Chelsea, because a sequel to zēphyr is taking over the former site of its older sibling Chicama.

Inspired by trips to the Aegean, Bottarga is set to channel the same spirit as zēphyr, with a more relaxed feel, plenty of good wine and an abundance of Greek dishes designed to share – and Nudge Members will get to try it all before anyone else, with a trio of exclusive preview dinners on 22nd, 23rd, 24th October, and 50% off the food bill.

You’ll breeze into a stylishly rustic spot with bare wooden floors, charmingly uneven plaster walls and an eclectic selection of crockery on the tables, hand-picked and sourced from various antique markets. You’ll admire the original artworks adorning the walls, and bop your head to the soundtrack put together by DJ Georgios Kalamotousakis. And you’ll start to peruse the mouthwatering menu put together by exec chef Tzoulio Loulai, with some additional, vibrant ideas thrown in by the Pachamama group’s original head chef, Adam Rawson.

As well as welcoming back some old zēphyr favourites like the chilli-butter grilled fish and the Txuleta ex-dairy ribeye steaks, Loulai’s brought some of his own Greek upbringing to bear on the menu. Highlights include a cep mushroom pastichio topped with decadent shavings of thyme Graviera cheese; some outrageous confit potatoes served with brown butter and roasted garlic aioli; and the restaurant’s namesake dish: a golden Bottarga Orzo, making liberal use of the precious hero ingredient. And to finish? A show-stopping dessert of burnt chocolate cheesecake, made with luxurious Peruvian dark chocolate and a veil of salted caramel chocolate sauce on top.

Add in a Mediterranean-leaning wine list, cocktails and an all-weather, year-round terrace fronting the whole affair…

…and this could just be the perfect place for a blow-out meal.
