Brigadiers are saying salut to their brand new brunch.
For those unfamiliar, Brigadiers is the recently opened, completely amazing Indian BBQ restaurant & bar from the people at JKS Restaurants, whose other Indian ventures, Gymkhana & Trishna, have both won Michelin Stars.
Now they’ve pulled together a menu of top-shelf Indian brunchables, centrepieces by their Full Indian Nashta, which involves a veritable mini banquet platter including Sappers egg, achari masala sausage pao, butwa masala black pudding, black pepper curry leaf bacon chop, chutney bonemarrow, tandoori masala tomato, Malai Portobello mushroom, boar rajma, and chaat masala aloos. Phew.
If miniature feasts aren’t your bag, then you can always go for a hefty Kati roll stuffed with either half a masala lobster & shrimp, or some Wagyu beef Seekh kebab. And there’s also the platter of mixed paos (they’re like Indian street food) including goat tikki, Amritsari fried fish, Achari masala sausage, etc. And this is all preceded by poppadoms & chutney, masala chicken skin, and chaat pork scratchings with cods roe & green chilli raita.
To help it all go down, there is of course the obligatory brunch staple that is bottomless booze – either their house-brew Brigadiers lager, some prosecco, or Bucks Fizz
Which we’re hoping isn’t enough to make you go bottomless too.
