– COMPETITION CLOSED –
Thai cooking can be a tricky one to master.
It’s very easy to Phuket.
But the skyrocketing success of Highbury restaurant Farang since its opening in February stands testament to the skills of head chef and founder Seb Holmes. Which, perhaps, is unsurprising, since he comes with a pretty slick reputation of top-level Thai cheffery at Smoking Goat and Begging Bowl.
And while working your way up from sous chef to head chef to fully fledged entrepreneurial restaurateur in a matter of years would, for many, be an entirely reasonable excuse to take your foot off the pedal for a bit, Seb’s ploughing onwards and upwards – and he’s only gone and created an entire cookbook of his favourite Thai dishes.
So to celebrate, he’s very kindly offering you and a companion the opportunity to try some of those dishes out in a totally free meal over at Farang, where he’ll be cooking up the best in the book for a Thai banquet for two. Not only that, but he’ll be throwing in a round of cocktails (or, in fact, beer, or wine) to wash it all down with, and, instead of walking off with a banquet-sized hole in your pocket, you’ll each be leaving with a signed copy of his book, Cook Thai, to head off into the sunset, unwavering and resolute in your mission to recreate it for yourselves at home.
In fact, we take back what we said earlier.
You’re going to smash it.
NOTE: Sorry, this competition has now closed. We will be contacting the winner in the next few days.
