The Dead Rabbit at Claridge’s
Generally speaking, they don’t move too easily.
But this is one with some serious legs – because the Lower Manhattan, triple-storeyed cocktail bar is hopping across the pond for a week-long pop up at the Claridge’s bar in our very own Mayfair.
And we’ll just mention at this point that, if you weren’t already aware, we’re talking about literally the best bar in the world, according to the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
And they should probably know.
The pop up will take the form of a recreation of their second floor ‘Parlor’ bar, complete with old-school ragtime piano music, and their characteristic comic-book style menu depicting the wild shenanigans of the 19th century Irish Manhattan gang from whom they take their name.
Naturally, the drinks and bar food on offer comes from similarly Irish stock, unsurprising since the bar’s founders, Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, are both Belfast boys. You’ll be able to sup on their signature concoctions like the Irish Coffee with Powers whiskey, demerara coffee and cream, or the charming, romantically-named Psycho Killer. Snacks, meanwhile, are set to range from lobster devilled eggs to Irish lamb stew…
Which travels surprisingly well too.
NOTE: You’ll find The Dead Rabbit at Claridge’s between 15th-22nd August, and you can register HERE for priority booking which opens on 13th July.
