Apart from having unaffordable houses, Beyoncé and Chiswick seem to have very little in common.
Well, all that’s about to change, because soon they’ll both be into country music thanks to the arrival of Lil’ Nashville early next year.
So, a little background—Lil’ Nashville is the work of a trio of natives (Helen, Rob, and Jeremy) who fell in love with Nashville and the infectious country music that pours out of it. They set up a kind of pop-up outfit, in which they put on frequent country music nights with live bands and Southern BBQ. Now, they’re opening a permanent venue.
The spot they’ve secured is called Betty Chiswick, which is just down the high street (to the west, appropriately) from the flower market, the High Road Brasserie, and the new JKS gastro, The Hound. Betty Chiswick was a fairly sizeable pub itself, and presumably, they’ll be putting sawdust on the floor and decking it out with neon signs, whiskey barrels, and enough cowboy hats to country-fy the whole space.
We can likely expect live music every night, along with a lot of hootin’, plenty of hollerin’, and a line dancing lesson to wash it all down. On the food menu, they tend to play the classics, so it’ll be pulled pork & baby back ribs to go with your whiskey.
And, just to keep up with Beyonce, presumably some lemonade too.
NOTE: Lil’ Nashville is due to open in early 2025. We’ll be back then with the full scoop. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on their website.
