Little Bat have a little news.
They’ve given the venue a major makeover, adding a front terrace, and creating an altogether more summery atmosphere. And they’ve started serving an all-day brunch on the weekends.
No big deal.
That new brunch menu begins with a selection of small bites – including roasted cauliflower & smoked cheddar croquettes with chilli relish; or market fish nuggets with prawn mayo. Moving on to larger dishes, you’ll find house-made hazelnut granola with coconut yoghurt, banana & berries; or some hangover-obliterating fried chicken & waffles with avocado, fried egg, barbecue hot sauce & pickled cucumber.
As with any quarter-decent brunch there’s an option to go bottomless, with two hours of infinite Bloody Marys, prosecco or mimosas – and there’s even a Champagne Brunch option, netting you some house-cured salmon & poached eggs on toasted sourdough plus a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rich.
Annnnd just in case you were worried that there wouldn’t be a DIY Bloody Mary trolley complete with gin & vodka, plus fresh tomato, carrot or beetroot juice… then fear not. There absolutely is one. And it’s got garnishes like bacon strips, celery salt, horseradish, turmeric, Worcestershire sauce, and all the fresh lemon/lime juice you could ask for. Which ought to keep your eyelids firmly wedged open.
And if not?
Just given them a little bat.
