Takeaway from the team behind Gymkhana

Motu Indian Kitchen | Delivery Service

Apparently, “motu” is Hindi for “fat man”.

And sadly/happily, Motu do not deliver fat men to your doorstep. Rather, they deliver Indian food from a kitchen run by the Sethi brothers, (who have previously brought us Hoppers and the Michelin-starred Trishna and Gymkhana) and the restaurant group that’s also behind Lyle’s and Bao. Not too shabby.

And now, just three months after the opening of their first branch in Battersea, this fat man is expanding into Camberwell where it will serve the hungry and travel-averse in new areas like Peckham, Brixton and Dulwich.

Using the same suppliers and spice mixes as their Michelin-starred joints, the menu includes feast boxes for one or two (i.e. one for a motu), as well as a separate a la carte offering with dishes like slow-cooked dal, chicken korma with rosewater and cashew, and a mixed platter of tandoor-grilled meats.

Go on. Your inner motu will thank you.

Details: The Camberwell Motu kitchen is now open for delivery only, between 6pm and 11pm. Orders can be made from both branches on their website HERE.
