Mediterranean food is already a mix of various cuisines.
So it makes sense that vaunted Mediterranean resto Sardine are now mixing together mealtimes, by creating an all-new weekend brunch menu.
The first restaurant from chef Alex Jackson (protégé of Stevie Parle, the man behind Craft London and Pastaio), it’s an airy, soothingly-toned spot conveniently attached to the Parasol art gallery – it’s like your weekend’s planning itself. And for his first early weekend offering, he’s serving up a sweep of both Continental breakfast staples and ‘lunchier’ dishes that take inspiration from his critically acclaimed evening menu.
Specifically, you can look forward to the likes of French toast with strawberries and Chantilly cream; courgette and ricotta frittata; a 24-month Comté fried sandwich and a ‘breakfast cassoulet’… as well as chicken liver parfait with toast and cornichons; salt cod brandade stuffed peppers with tomato sauce; and onglet with a potato and lovage beignet.
And trust us, you’re going to be giving that a lot of lovage.
NOTE: Sardine serves brunch every weekend, from 10am-3pm. You can find out more and book on their website HERE.
