Piano Works West End | Brunch to the Beat
Brunch To The Beat.
It’s a new brunch that’s tough to, well, beat.
It’s so-called because it takes place at Piano Works West End, the surprisingly large, surprisingly loud, surprisingly, infectiously, wildly fun live music venue somewhere underground just off Leicester Square. Every day/night you’ll find the house band up on the stage, expertly keying into the tone of the crowd and playing uptempo tunes – or, given that they play requests only, modifying downtempo tunes into slightly more toe-tapping versions of themselves.
The brunch they’ve just launched come in two different flavours: brunch dining or brunch drinking. For the former, you can expect to sit down and snaffle up a two-course menu featuring vegan fried chicken, pancakes & maple syrup, Eggs Benny, Florentine, or Royal, or some good ol’ waffles. And it’s all followed up with banana split, sorbet, or key lime pie.
For those after the delightful-sounding ‘brunch drinking’ menu (which, word to the wise, requires an 8 person minimum booking), you can expect a slightly lighter food offering (we’ll come to the drinks in a moment) of a brunch box with either a breakfast burrito loaded with sausage, bacon, eggs, potato hash, mozz, and spinach; or a bagel with smoked salmon & cream cheese (unless you’d like it topped with houmous, tomato, and vegan cream cheese). And it’s all served with a side of crinkle-cut fries.
And now the most important part: the drinks involve two hours of bottomless prosecco, Bloody Marys, or mocktails as well as unlimited soft drinks. And you get your own reserved table for the rest of the afternoon.
Which, ironically, means you probably won’t have any reservations about going.
NOTE: Brunch to the Beat is available now at Piano Works West End, every Saturday from Midday to 4pm. Brunch dining costs £50, while Brunch Drinking costs £35. You can find out more and book a spot right HERE.
