London’s only meadery has opened its doors.
And it’s created quite a buzz.
Perched above Peckham’s Coal Rooms in the old, Grade II listed station ticket office, the space has been taken over by mead-makers Gosnells for the foreseeable future. They’ll be serving up their original and vintage brews, as well as more adventurous numbers from salted to barrel-aged and pink hibiscus-infused meads, and iced mead cocktails for the warmer months ahead.
Of course, all that booze, and you might find yourself a little peckish. Perhaps you fancy yourself some Cobble Lane kabano sausage, with or without a plate of Peckham Fatboy potatoes, and some beef fat mayo, all of which is possible thanks to a light-bites menu curated by their pals (and yours) downstairs.
