Dandy Maltby Street | Aussie eats in South London
Dandy is pretty dandy right now.
The two guys behind it will open the third version of its Australian café-slash-restaurant towards the second half of 2019, thanks to the support of the public, after crushing their crowdfunding goal.
Chef Dan Wilson and co-founder Matt Wells (of The Dairy in Clapham) reached their target for Dandy mark three in just ten days and will open on Maltby street in 2019. It will consist of two levels, a dining room at the bottom and a mezzanine that’ll be home to a twelve tap in house craft beer bar to compensate for a much more concise wine list.
Originally a shipping container in London fields, before hatching into a bigger venue in Newington green (now Jolene), this reincarnation will be serving comforting dishes from the best possible ingredients. But don’t worry – some of the old brunch favourites will be making their way onto the menu, too.
…Once, twice, three tiiiiimes a Dandy…
NOTE: Dandy is now open – we’ll be back with the full scoop once we’ve visited. In the meantime, you can find out more, and book a table, HERE.
