Daroco London | Ultra-Glamorous Italian Restaurant From Paris

Daroco is coming to London, and it’s bringing French design, Italian food, and some good ol’ fashioned hype.

Why all the fuss? Well, basically because they do the first couple of items on that list so well. To whit, there are currently two Daroco outposts in Paris: there’s the Daroco 16 with its vast blue murals, and stunning mirrored bar. And then there’s the flagship in the former sewing workshop of Jean-Paul Gaultier, with its towering mirrored ceiling, marble tables, terrazzo floor, huge concrete columns, and abundant vegetation. And it also boasts an elegant little ‘cocktail box’ of a bar beside it, too.

The food they do at both of these outfits is all classic Italian, including the likes of squid ink spaghetti with mussels, pappardelle with beef ragu, truffle pizza, tiramisu, you get the idea. And review-wise, it’s generally said to be first class.

So. Back to London. The suitably impressive outpost they’ve chosen to plant their flag in over here is the new Ilona Rose House building, which already houses the rather grand Milk Beach Soho, and which will act as a blank canvas upon which Daroco’s designers can let their imaginations go absolutely apeshit. And as a kicker, they’re going to install a cocktail bar underneath it all too.

They’re going to shake things up.
