Dirty Bones Shoreditch | Shoreditch Restaurant
By Jade Ross
Following extensive research in the early nineties, renowned mathematicians De La Soul concluded that three is the magic number.
And if musketeers, blind mice, primary colours, Newton’s laws of motion and the Hanson brothers are anything to go by, it looks like they were right.
This is particularly good news for the chaps at Dirty Bones who have opened the third in their trilogy of hangover curing and hangover inducing restaurants and bars serving classic, outrageously New York-inspired comfort food, strong cocktails, beer, shooters, music and everything in between.
The East London threequel brings the same selection of American diner favourites (like their crispy fried buttermilk chicken on waffles with hot maple syrup; their taleggio & cheddar cheesy truffle fries; and their pulled beef and mac & cheese burgers), but this time does it in an impressive, Grade II listed heritage building in the heart of Shoreditch. With 22 signature cocktails.
It raises the question, ‘what more could one want?’
And we’re glad you asked. Because the answer is resident DJs and live bands delivering a combination of funk, hip hop, and soul music; a brand new weekday breakfast menu developed just for the East; brunch every weekend; giant sharing platters of brisket & ox cheek, crispy chicken, and beet & portobello melt that is the ‘Dirty Sunday Roast’; brand new dishes like matcha custard french toast, 16 hour slow cooked lamb ribs, house made cheeseburger dumplings, and, notably: banana toblerone-tella waffles.
Which is good because banana toblerone-tella waffles.
