When you find a Turkish restaurant and bar under one roof…

…you know you’re about to get mezze.

An offspring from the TAS group, Ev Restaurant offers a one-stop shop for the perfect evening of Anatolian atmosphere. Sprawled across three railway arches (along the blooming Isabella Street) are Ev Bakery, Restaurant and Bar, meaning that you’re sorted from start to finish.

Consider yourself warned…this is not a place to forget your reading glasses. The menu is as vast as it is mouth-watering, though there are certain staples that it would be sacrilege not to order from the outset –  one of them being the famed hummus dip made in-house to a closely guarded secret recipe, served with freshly baked, warm Turkish pide from the bakery next door.

The rest of the hot and cold hand-prepared mezze and sharing plates feature many different elements of the famed Asian Turkish cuisine. Shish kebab, skewered meats and fish are prepared on traditional Mangal charcoal grills, making it more than likely that you’ll smell the exotic flavours of the menu long before you taste them.

Though TAS has successfully spawned more than 20 sites, don’t assume that Ev is just ‘another restaurant’. Not only is the setting idyllic (with a large terrace area outside), but it’s also passionate food delivered on a wide, yet intimate scale. 

Even the börek is the stuff of dreams.
