Flour & Grape | Casual Pasta Spot in London Bridge
Bermondsey Street‘s beloved Italian eatery Antico sadly closed down.
Which makes it officially antico.
The good news, however, is that the very same team are still occupying the space, with a more relaxed venture by the name of Flour & Grape.
Designed to keep them all together despite rising running costs, it sees their menu streamlined to a range of eight fresh pasta dishes, available to eat in or takeaway – including the bucatini (tomato, capers, olives and basil), and the reginette, with tiger prawn and prawn bisque – all washed down with a well-picked bunch of wines.
The former antiques warehouse has also gotten an update, throwing out the ‘fine dining’ feel in favour of communal tables, counter seating and more casual interiors. They’ve recently expanded by turning their basement bar into a second dining room – just as well, since this is a restaurant that doesn’t take bookings.
But if you do have to queue?
We’re sure you’ll find a way to pasta time.
NOTE: Flour & Grape is open daily for dinner, plus lunch Tues-Sun. You can find out more on their website HERE.
