Flour & Grape | Casual Pasta Spot in London Bridge
Bermondsey Street‘s beloved Italian eatery Antico sadly closed down.
Which makes it officially antico.
The good news, however, is that the very same team are still occupying the space, with a more relaxed venture by the name of Flour & Grape.
Designed to keep them all together despite rising running costs, it sees their menu streamlined to a range of eight fresh pasta dishes, available to eat in or takeaway – including the bucatini (tomato, capers, olives and basil), and the reginette, with tiger prawn and prawn bisque – all washed down with a well-picked bunch of wines.

The former antiques warehouse has also gotten an update, throwing out the ‘fine dining’ feel in favour of communal tables, counter seating and more casual interiors. And while they were shaking things up, they’ve given their downstairs bar, 214 Bermondsey – a temple to gin – a bit of a spruce too. Just as well, since is a restaurant that doesn’t take bookings – instead, just rock up on any given evening, put your name down on the list and prop up the bar with a cocktail and a couple of starters while you wait.
It’s just the tonic.
NOTE: Flour & Grape is open daily for dinner, plus lunch Tues-Sat. You can find out more on their website HERE.
