Peckham Cellars is About to Get a Sibling

The team behind the wonderful Peckham Cellars are opening a new sibling, Little Cellars.

Of course only one of them will get to be the best Cellar.

And it’ll likely be a tight run thing, given that the team in question have CVs littered with world-beaters like Ottolenghi’s Rovi, Skye Gyngell’s Spring, and Marcella in Deptford – the upshot of which is that the original Cellars has a Bib Gourmand and some fiercely loyal local fans. This new iteration is also going to be a classic wine bar, this time about ten minutes down the road in a Victorian corner building on Camberwell Church Street.

Little Cellars

The place is under construction as you read this, so it’s not clear what it’ll look like, but you can be pretty sure it’ll mirror the vibe of the original, with clean, simple lines and plenty of natural light. Taking care of the food is Peckham Cellars’ own head chef Pablo Urain Alfonso, who’s going to throw together some top-shelf bar snacks to go with their extensive menu of old & new world wines by the glass.

And the kicker? They’ve also taking over the building next door, with a view to turning it into a standalone bottle shop, with its own little “basement tasting room”…

…which one might be tempted to call a cellar.

NOTE: Little Cellars is set to open in early 2023. We’ll be back then with the full scoop. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on their website right here.
