The Bletchley prepares for launch
One to file under: holy sh*t, guys. The Bletchley comes to us from the same people who thought a naked restaurant would be a good idea. It’s a cryptography themed bar in which you’ll use one of their self-styled enigma machines to decrypt your “personality, taste, desires and odour preferences into ingredients of a cocktail”. That cocktail will be unique to you, and its recipe will be a secret between you and the bar. Advance bookings are going fast. So keep this one a secret.
Eat like a Lord
Literally. The Peer’s Dining Room is once again opening up to the public from Monday 13 to Friday 17 February 2017 for weekday lunches (from a thoroughly commoner-friendly £45). Book HERE.

The Modern Pantry launch Alpha Beta Bar
The Modern Pantry have enlisted the bartender with possibly the best name/reputation in London right now, Mr. Ryan Chetiyawardana, to run the all-new Alpha Beta bar at their Finsbury Square location. It opens Jan 16th. Be excited.
The street food market extravaganza is getting even more extravaganzatical with the arrival of two new traders – Swedish live-fire BBQ-ers Lagom, and Prawnography who are hopping over from Hawker House – as well as two new bars; the tiki House of Bamboo and Cal-Italian wine bar, Winerama.
Shunning literally the only things they’ve ever stood for this month are MEATliquor, who in the spirit of Dry January and Veganuary are offering booze-free cocktails and veggie-friendly dishes like the Blue Corn Tortilla Salad, and deep fried-cheese and jalapeno poppaz. Hey, we never said it would be healthy.
Elizabeth Allen at Carousel
There’s just under two weeks to catch Michelin-starred Pidgin’s Elizabeth Allen helming the ship at Carousel, where she’ll be bringing you a sneak preview of her upcoming opening with fiery BBQ cuisine and casual fine dining. Read: dishes like buttermilk chicken with miso, Koji beef with coffee and jerusalem artichoke, and oyster with tempura nori.
