Mildreds has sprouted up in East London.
It’s the burgeoning veggie empire’s fourth restaurant, breathing life into a sleek glass and cement corner spot in Dalston Square. Filled with leafy palms, wicker furniture and soft retro lighting, it’s home to their same lauded vegetarian grub, with specific influence from Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Which, to be exact, includes…
BRUNCH
On weekends, you can tuck into heavenly shakshuka, a melting pot of spinach, sumac, spicy red sauce, and organic eggs baked in their charcoal oven; oak smoked house beans with melted cheddar on toasted sourdough; or oat and blueberry waffles topped with ice cream and maple syrup – all washed down with a powerful Bloody Mary.
LUNCH AND DINNER
Starters take their inspiration from across the globe, so expect to see Egyptian spiced spinach with golden raisins and pistachios rubbing shoulders with chargrilled Roman style artichoke crostini, and Asian watermelon salad with shiso leaf and yuzu dressing. Scaling up to the mains, you can expect everything from healthy super bowls, to comfort food like wood roasted mushroom and ale pie with mushy peas and chips, and Sri Lankan sweet potato and green bean curry with roasted lime cashews, pea basmati rice and coconut tomato sambal.
DRINKS
Aaand to wash it all down, you can sip on boozy concoctions like rhubarb margaritas, a maple bourbon iced tea, and the Turkish Rose with gin, campari, almond syrup, pineapple and lemon.
In case you fancy putting roots down for the night.
NOTE: Mildreds Dalston is open weekdays 11am-11pm, Sat 10am-11pm, and Sun 10am-10pm. You can find out more, and book, on their website HERE.
