Fun fact: since Neptune was discovered back in 1846, it only completed its first full orbit of the sun in 2011.
Which makes the wait for Bloomsbury’s forthcoming Neptune – coming to us in Spring – seem all the shorter.
It’ll be run by the folks behind Hackney’s seafood-driven gastropub The Richmond, and will have a similar affinity for swimmers; in fact the restaurant’s centrepiece will be a raw bar set squarely in the middle of the space.
And that space? Is in The Principal Hotel; an opulent refurbishment of the huge terracotta-tiled hotel building in Russell Square – originally designed to mimic the 16th-century Château de Madrid in Paris – which is also due to (re)open early next year.
NOTE: Neptune is due to open in Spring 2018. We’ll be back then with the full scoop – in the meantime, you can check out their holding page/website right HERE.
