Everyone kneads pizza.
That’s a fact.
And one that only bodes well for Neapolitan pizza joint Panzo, now open on Exmouth Market.
The space feels like a blend of Italian & Scandinavian design – think copper topped tables, herringbone wooden floors and concrete banquettes with oversized leather cushions. Plus, there’s two outside areas should the sun make a surprise appearance.

The menu takes its influence from the Neapolitan panuozzo sandwich (which itself is made from wood-fired pizza dough), so all of the pizzas at Panzo are individually sized. They’re made with double-cooked, lighter dough, and topped with a variety of ingredients from aubergine and Sicilian salted ricotta to fennel salami with black olives. They’re served alongside salads, garlic bread and a couple of crowd-pleasers like lasagne and melanzane parmigiana. There’s also cannoli and tiramisu for afters, and to wash it all down there are taps conveniently dispensing beer, wine and prosecco.
Whichhhhh – while we’re on the topic of convenience – brings us to the fact that Panzo also has a variety of Italian produce like olive oil and sun-dried tomatoes available for you peruse, and then most likely buy and take home.
Because everyone needs them too.
NOTE: Panzo is open daily, 12-10pm. You can find out more, and book a table, HERE.
