Sager + Wilde Paradise Row | Bethnal Green Restaurant
Well, this comes as a welcome relief.
That is, unequivocally knowing exactly how to answer when your friends ask the inevitable question, ‘where should we wine and dine (and cocktail) tonight’?.
Good of you to treat them to such information.
And so welcome to Sager + Wilde Paradise Row. Here’s what you can now expect to find there:
The menu features an array of simple, reasonably priced dishes and sharer plates including the likes of burrata with courgette, hazelnut and chicory; rump barrel with padrón peppers and gremolata; and rigatoni pasta with ox cheek ragu (which naturally comes with a negroni for £10 at lunchtime). Oh, and there’s brunch. Featuring oysters and ice cream.
This al fresco dining area is split into two sections: a formal dining area for the aforementioned menus (which flows seamlessly into the main restaurant), and a slightly less formal bar which is serving an ever-changing menu centred around different spirit brands.
THE COCKTAIL LOUNGE
As if all that weren’t enough, they also have a cocktail lounge upstairs headed by a former Dandelyan/69 Colebrooke Row mixologist, Marcis Dzelzainis who’s put together an Old Fashioned-heavy drinks list containing his versions with olive oil (get that one, please), toasted coconut, and burnt maple.
Oh, and – thanks to co-owner Michael Sager – there’s a vast list of some of the finest wines known to man, too.
