Sager + Wilde Paradise Row

Sager + Wilde Paradise Row | Handsome Wine Bar In An Old Railway Arch In Bethnal Green

Well, this comes as a welcome relief.

That is, unequivocally knowing exactly how to answer when your friends ask the inevitable question, ‘where should we wine and dine (and cocktail) tonight’?.

Good of you to treat them to such information.

And so we welcome you to Sager + Wilde Paradise Row. Here’s what you can now expect to find there:

THE RESTAURANT

Sager & Wilde

The menu features an array of simple, reasonably priced dishes and sharer plates including cold smoked swordfish with mozzarella & tomato sauce; a 12oz pork chop with ash violet potatoes & mustard leaf; or spaghetti with Brussel sprouts, leek, and parmesan (which naturally comes with a negroni for £10 at lunchtime).

Oh, and there’s brunch. Featuring yuzu mimosas; ‘nduja scrambled eggs with pancetta; and a roast chicken & panzanella salad. For two.

THE COURTYARD

This al fresco dining area is split into two sections: a formal dining area for the aforementioned menus (which flows seamlessly into the main restaurant), and a slightly less formal bar which is serving an ever-changing menu centred around different spirit brands.

THE COCKTAIL LOUNGE

As if all that weren’t enough, they also have a cocktail lounge upstairs headed by a former Dandelyan/69 Colebrooke Row mixologist, Marcis Dzelzainis who’s put together an Old Fashioned-heavy drinks list containing his versions with olive oil (get that one, please), toasted coconut, and burnt maple.

THE PRIVATE DINING AREA

Of course, if you’re into something a little less public than a courtyard, then you can reserve their mezzanine dining area, which overlooks the restaurant, and has candlelit tables with space for two dozen people.

Oh, and – thanks to co-owner Michael Sager – there’s a vast list of some of the finest wines known to man, too.

Naturally.

NOTE: Sager + Wilde Paradise Row is open for lunch and dinner all week, as well as for brunch on the weekends. You can book a table directly HERE, or by calling 0207 613 0478.
