St. JOHN Borough Corner

London’s best doughnuts have filled in an important hole.

Since their bakery is just a hop, skip and a jump away in Bermondsey, St. JOHN have set up a shop for selling their doughy wares on Borough High Street.

You’ll find it at Fora, the contemporary co-working space, as part of a new community within Borough which includes an on-site premium gym, a few fancy retailers, and a top floor lounge & restaurant. Still, they’ve managed to put their own signature stamp on things, with monochrome interiors, industrial pendant lighting and their ubiquitous pig logo on the tissue paper across the counters.

And just in case you weren’t familiar with St. JOHN? It’s the Michelin starred restaurant that pioneered the nose-to-tail movement in the UK, before opening a bakery and absolutely crushing that genre of cooking, too. They produce what are unquestionably some of the finest doughnuts in the city. Of course there’s other stuff available (cinnamon rum buns, brownies, Eccles cakes, sourdough loaves, sandwiches made to order, house label wine, coffee, etc.) but you know…

…priorities and all.

NOTE: St. JOHN Borough Corner is open Mon-Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 10am-5pm. You can find out more at their website right HERE.
