We all know the feeling.
You’re doing a little light shopping, and you develop a sudden craving for a lobster cheese toastie with triple-cooked chips.
Well, at last that craving can be satiated thanks to Harrods, who have refurbished their already opulent Dining Hall to make it even more opulent. Found on the ground floor, it now encompasses an Indian restaurant, a sushi counter, a pasta bar, a grill, a wine bar, and a seafood spot… as well as a feast for the eyes, too. Starting with the centrepiece:
The Grill – this is where they keep the Josper Grill, which is putting out dry-aged Scottish sirloin, Argentinian ribeyes, and even A5 Kobe beef (to go with your truffle Mac & cheese).
The Sushi Bar – here they’re serving up all manner of sashimi & nigiri to go with signature rolls like the tiger prawn & caviar-loaded Black Dragon.
The Pasta Bar – the pasta here is all hand-made daily, and you can get linguine with Cornish crab, chilli, and garlic; Rigatoni cacio e pepe; and more.
The Fish Bar – this is where you can furnish yourself with the aforementioned lobster cheese toastie, as well as some tempura cod cheeks, or some smoked chalkstream trout.
The Wine Bar – they have literally over 100 wines served by the glass alone. That’s to go alongside the 1.2k bottles in the cellar below.
Kama by Vineet – run by Michelin star chef Vineet Bhatia, this is where you can get a few modern Indian dishes, such as a lamb & goji berry biriyani, or pistachio lamb chops with saffron mash.
Of course, you can also browse the various bakeries, butcheries, fishmongers, coffee bars, and other assorted purveyors of the world’s finest produce.
This is Harrods, after all.
NOTE: Harrods Dining Hall is open daily for lunch and dinner. You can find out more, and book a table at their website right HERE.
