Alan Yau Is Opening Two New Restaurants, In One Place

Yau Grilling | Isle of Dogs Restaurant

Serial restaurateur Alan Yau is opening two new restaurants on the Isle of Dogs next year.

Which means that going to the dogs will actually be a good thing.

The man behind Wagamama, Yauatcha and the Michelin-starred Hakkasan will be unveiling his two new spots in a glossy residential development by Canary Wharf that’s set to open in 2020.

Alongside Chyna, a 130 seater that he’s hoping will become the “Chinese River Café“, he’s opening Yau Grilling: a smaller affair seating 45 and focussing on Japanese cuisine.

It’ll be open all day but it’ll really shine at night, with a dedicated oyster bar and a grill-focused menu with beef, lobster and king crab…

…and whatever else Yau’s grilling.

NOTE: Yau Grilling is set to open sometime in 2020. We’ll be back with more details as they’re announced…
