A Taste Of Paradise With Glenmorangie | Partner Content
A six-course, whisky paired dinner from the folks at Glenmorangie already sounds pretty fantastic…
…so it’s pretty apt that they’re quite literally holding it in Paradise.
This is the all-new, completely exclusive Taste Of Paradise menu. It’s all in honour of Glenmorangie’s newly re-imagined Original 12 Years Old and the Infinita 18 Years Old expressions. The idea is to fuse the best of Scotland and Sri Lanka, taking the punchy and vibrant flavours of Paradise’s modern Sri Lankan food, and balancing them with the silky, playful complexity of Glenmorangie’s own cocktails & whiskies, and letting the tastes play off against one another.
It’ll all take place on three exclusive Tuesday evenings (26th November, 10th, 11th, 17th & 18th December), when the restaurant will become The Villa at Paradise for the night. The menu is being put together by Paradise’s founder Dom Fernando, who is drawing on his own Sri Lankan heritage to create something that complements Glenmorangie’s notes of orange, honey, vanilla, and peach. A couple of the highlights from the six courses include:
Kiri-hodi – Glenmorangie confit hand-dived Orkney scallop, native lobster + riesling, kiri-hodi, coconut kiri-bath, Clarence Court quail’s egg hopper.
Mas Curry – Dry-aged sirloin with Glenmorangie Infinita + Scottish chaga spiced glaze, Kandyan style sunflower seed curry. Served with southern-style turmeric + saffron dahl, fried long aubergine + rainforest jaggery moju and fried buttermilk paratha roti.
Mihiri – Peppermint, cinnamon + clove tea cream with Halmilla arrack and blueberries, served with a dram of Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Infinita.
You’ll get to savour a Whisky Highball & Chai Old Fashioned made with Glenmorangie’s Original 12 Year Old, and more. And the kicker? All six courses, plus drinks, will only set you back just £65, rather than the typical price of £110.
We’ll drink to that.
