Dining with Amélie, On a Rooftop | Partner Content
The Bussey Building is no stranger to people with impressive beards and unusual headgear. But for one evening this summer, they won’t be hipsters.
They’ll be gnomes.
Because, to celebrate summer and the drink’s French heritage, Grey Goose are partnering with Rooftop Film Club’s open air cinema atop Peckham’s Bussey Building for a one-night-only screening of the quirky French romance, Amélie – turning it into an immersive, miniature Montmartre complete with live music, twinkling festoon lighting, and a crowd of garden gnomes.…
It’ll make sense once you’ve seen the film.
And being immersive and all that, not only will you see the film, you’ll taste it, too. Because before they load up the slate, they’re rolling out a three-course, cocktail-paired feast – one that’ll see Joe McCanta, Global Brand Ambassador for Grey Goose, join forces with ludicrously talented chef Sebastian Delamothe to create an Amélie-inspired al fresco banquet, serving up paired dishes and cocktails artfully designed to evoke some of the most iconic moments of the film.
Now, while it’s almost impossible to make a balmy evening screening of a heart-warming French love story with Michelin-star quality food and exquisite cocktails on a rooftop any more romantic, it would probably top things off nicely if you had a boutique hotel room to head to afterwards…
Which is exactly why we’re giving away a pair of tickets to the screening alongside an overnight stay for two at the Artist Residence – a decadent, bohemian bolt hole above the Clarendon Cocktail Cellar in Victoria.
Just think of it as your home from gnome.
NOTE: Dining with Amélie will take place on 31st July at the Bussey Building. Tickets are limited, so try your chances at winning a pair by entering your email and answering the Amelie inspired question in the Competition box below. T&Cs apply.
