BAR HUMBUG | Quality Street Cocktails
Okay so – much like the toffee fingers – let’s just get this out of the way quickly:
This is a cash-grabbing promotional event for Sainsbury’s.
We’re coming into Christmas, and apparently every supermarket chain in the Western hemisphere is going to live or die according to how adeptly their re-introduce nostalgic ideas in new innovative ways. So Saino’s have wisely elected to create a pop up bar showing you how to make Quality Street cocktails. And – promotion or not – that sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
The whole thing will be run by mixology masters Sweet & Chilli (they’re dab hands, and have worked with the likes of Gingerline and the Espresso Martini Festival) who’ll show you how to make alco-laced versions of the Green Triangle, the Purple One, and the Orange Crunch.
It’s just one of the three festive activities at Sainsbury’s Christmas Cracker pop up at which people can also learn how to wrap presents and put together cheese boards. Both of which will, in fairness, be considerably more challenging once you’ve taken one of the cocktail masterclasses. It’ll take place for two days only (7th-8th December) on New Oxford Street.
Which, as we all know, is a pretty quality street.
NOTE: BAR HUMBUG takes place from 7-8 December. You can find out more, and book tickets (£10) right HERE.
